Ink & Ether

Debuting January 2027

Mettacine Woman Ink & Ether (MWIE) is more than a publication—it is a living artifact, a tool for healing and discovery, born from the knowing that womanhood is a lifelong evolution. Across the cycles of life—through birth, bloom, transformation, and return—we endure, we adapt, and we rise or fall. This journal acknowledges the courage it takes to be, to age, to change, and to keep creating meaning within the shifting social, spiritual, and physical landscapes that shape us.

Like a literary journal, MWIE welcomes fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry of the highest quality. Yet it moves boldly beyond the page—into the realms of intuition, ritual, and the everyday magic of being alive. Within its pages you’ll find notions and potions, astrological and numerological musings, recipes that nourish body and soul, puzzles and hidden messages that stimulate brain health, and teachings that invite readers to engage with health, wellness, aging, death, dying, and preparedness—not with fear, but with fierce reverence.

Every issue is inspired by a powerful woman—a living muse—whose story informs and interacts with the theme and tone of the work within. Because we have earned the right to tell our stories in any form we desire, MWIE is unbound by genre, unapologetically expansive, and committed to truth in all its forms.

We are now accepting submissions of exceptional literary work—short fiction in all its variations, creative nonfiction (personal narrative, memoir, lyric essay), and poetry—that centers the female voice, perspective, and experience. All sub genres welcome.

Mettacine Woman Ink & Ether invites bold, high-quality work that speaks to the female experience in all its phases—birth, growth, transformation, aging, death, and renewal. We seek writing and art that illuminates the courage, complexity, and creativity of womanhood across time, culture, and consciousness.

We are currently open for submissions for our debut issue, releasing January 2026. Submissions are accepted exclusively through Duosuma, our preferred platform.

What We’re Looking For

  • Fiction: Short stories, flash fiction, or experimental forms that center a female protagonist, voice, or perspective.

  • Creative Nonfiction: Personal essays, memoir excerpts, and lyric essays that explore lived experience, transformation, and truth-telling.

  • Poetry: Up to 3 poems per submission, any style or form, as long as it pulses with authenticity and resonance.

  • Visual Art: Original artwork, illustration, or photography that complements our aesthetic—mystical, intuitive, and rooted in feminine power.

Submission Details

  • All submissions must be made via Duosuma. We do not accept emailed or mailed entries.

  • Please submit only previously unpublished work. Simultaneous submissions are welcome; kindly withdraw your piece promptly if it is accepted elsewhere.

  • Include a brief cover letter and a short bio (50–100 words).

  • Each submission may include one fiction or nonfiction piece (up to 3,000 words) or up to 3 poems.

  • Visual artists may submit up to 5 images (JPG or PNG, high resolution preferred).

Submission Fee

A small $5 submission fee helps support our editorial and design process, ensuring Mettacine Woman Ink & Ether continues to serve as both a publication and a tool for collective healing and discovery.

Response Time

We aim to respond within 10–12 weeks of submission. All contributors whose work is selected will receive publication credit and promotion across our platforms.

Final Note

Submit what stirs, soothes, or unsettles. We want the work that refuses to be silenced.

At Mettaverse Woman, we celebrate women from middle age and beyond — hot flashes, laugh lines, hormonal mood swings, and all! We believe every wrinkle tells a story (and probably involves deep awakenings, a few extra pounds, or a set of lost keys).

Our mission is to create a warm, welcoming space where women can show up exactly as they are — whether they’re sweating through a meeting, trying to remember what they walked into the room for, or discovering the power of bamboo sheets.

We embrace and empower all women — every race, ethnicity, color, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, ability, and fabulous shade of gray hair. Our doors (and hearts) are wide open, our programs are inclusive, and our laughter is contagious.

Here’s to equality, diversity, sisterhood, and acknowledging the pitfalls and triumphs of this beautiful, messy, magnificent phase of womanhood — because we’ve earned every single sparkle, curve, and sassy comment.
