About Us
Mettacine Woman Ink & Ether was born from the belief that the written word is one of humanity’s oldest forms of medicine — that through story, reflection, and creative expression, we remember who we are and reclaim what has been forgotten.

This publication emerges at the intersection of literature, ritual, and wellness — a space where art and healing intertwine. Each issue serves as both a creative anthology and a tool for self-discovery, honoring the ever-evolving journey of womanhood through the cycles of birth, growth, transformation, and renewal. Within its pages, you’ll find fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, notions and potions, astrology, recipes, meditations, teachings on aging and dying, puzzles, and other wonders — all designed to awaken curiosity, connection, and peace.

Our Story
The Vision Behind the Work
At its core, Mettacine Woman Ink & Ether celebrates the feminine in motion — the courage it takes to live authentically, to change, to heal, and to tell one’s story without apology. Each issue is inspired by a powerful woman whose legacy of resilience and imagination guides the creative pulse of the publication. We believe in honoring the sacred and the everyday, the mystical and the mundane, the ink and the ether.

The Founder & Publisher - Adriena Dame
For those who know her, Adriena Dame—healer, writer, author, and former publisher of the internationally circulated literary journals 94 Creations and Iris Brown, Assistant Managing Editor of The Louisville Review, and professor in Spalding University’s BFA in Creative Writing program—Mettacine Woman Ink & Ether feels like a natural evolution of her life’s work.

It comes as no surprise that her dedication to health and wellness would eventually circle back to her first love: the written word. Nor is it surprising that she uses the art of creative expression itself as a tool for facilitating healing. Through Mettacine Woman, Dame weaves together her dual callings—literature and wellness—into a living practice of creative medicine.
Mettacine Woman Ink & Ether stands as her latest offering: a journal, a spellbook, and a sanctuary for women who seek to write, remember, and reimagine.
